This was a 4 percent increase over the year before seven thousand tourists from America were in Israel during August 2022.
Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner. He stated, "It's so exciting to once more see an increase of tourism to Israel from America, already in the process of surpassing or exceeding the record-breaking numbers we saw in 2019". We are thrilled to see this shift and are expecting a steady upward trend for months, and possibly years.
Canada is also on track, just like the United States, to surpass its tourist arrivals into Israel. In July 2022 Canada had 7,200 visitors while August witnessed 6,600.
Gal Hana, Consul to Canada and Director for Canada at the Israel Ministry of Tourism stated that it was exciting to see tourism from Canada to Israel returning. "We aren't too far from our record-setting numbers in 2019 and we anticipate that this increase in tourism to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians remain confident about traveling abroad."
Israel received more tourists from all over the world during 2019 than any other nation. 969 600 were Americans.
